“I don’t really do these kinds of things but when you guys called I was immediately in.”

– Patti Smith

To celebrate the world’s most iconic sneaker we decided to say thank you to all the fans who have molded, ripped, scribbled and scuffed the Chuck Taylor legacy into what it is today - a sneaker of creative self expression. Utilizing iconic OOH we turned the world into a gallery for our art exhibition that paid homage to the lives lived within Chuck Taylors.

We asked the Chuck community to lend us their sneakers so they could be photographed and preserved forever. Our sneaker portraits dominated subways, metro-lites and iconic billboards around the globe.

Each major city also conducted their own curated gallery spaces that were compiled of local and global sneakers. People could even listen to to the stories of each sneaker through a Google Cardboard experience allowing the world to walk in the owners shoes.

Best of all, Chuck Taylor fans began to create their own content, mirroring our portrait layouts.
